Sometimes there are even laws regarding keeping pets like chickens, so it’s great to check out what the rules are before you start. Also make sure that you will not be at risk when you are collecting the eggs, cleaning out the coop or performing any of the other chores. You’d be surprised at just how many injuries occur because egg collection doors are too heavy, how many backs have been put out trying to move an awkward backyard chicken coop not to mention the discomfort of walking through and breathing in chicken poop!

Recycle; Yes, that is the word of the moment. When it comes to backyard chicken coop building it is also one of the best ways to save money. Substitute new timber for recycled.
